Images, profane and sacred

Watch me now. The
rest can wait till later.
I’m always here presenting,
with glisten and sometimes glare,
a few flickerings, some shining stirrings,
just a bit of . . . di-
versions of images
never ceasing
moving
your eye
up

down
left
right
through a viscous grater
cleaving
you
and
present
-ations—imagination, celebration,
fornication, lamentation—
sooner or later.

Watch me now or watch me later.
I hear,
always I am
here.
I offer the burden of your stare
no gimmicks; just di-
vert to this. Greater,
sharper will your image be.
Still your “I”.
Remain unmoved.
I am.
Come. Sit. Breathe.
Watch me now. . .
. . . I’ll be here later.
